CHIMES at the British Science Festival 2012

CHIMES research was presented to a packed audience of the general public, researchers and clinicians during the HEADLINES event at the prestigious British Science Festival 2012.

Your life story in our hands: A walk through life with your healthcare data, a mixture of expert led discussion and scripted debate, provided a fascinating insight into the complex issues surrounding the linking of personal healthcare data.  Members of the ScotCRN Young Person's Group, performed a scripted focus group highlighting some key findings from CHIMES on the views of young people and parents/guardians on the use of healthcare data for research. In the weeks leading up the the festival The Scot CRN also collaborated with local artist Jacky Niven to create The Data Tree an artwork influenced by views of young people on the use and storage of personal data.
